No Title, 1969-1970
“No title” was one of Hesse’s last works before she died in 1970. She was known for exploring materials such as latex, plastic and fibreglass. With its uneven surface, soft and slack form the sculpture ensembles human sensibility. The artist dipped two pieces of rope into some liquid latex and got its weblike structure when hardening up. The ceiling attachments are flexible and changeable as it was in her intentions to let the work have its own will.
